Join us at this gala Ball celebrating the achievements of Poles in the UK and fundraising for good charitable causes
BAL POLSKI, FORMERLY THE POLISH ÉMIGRÉ BALL, HAS GROWN BOTH IN STRENGTH AND POPULARITY AND REMAINS ONE OF THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS SOCIO-CULTURAL EVENTS IN THE POLISH COMMUNITY.
Organised and staged entirely by volunteers: the 46 Bal Polski Organising Committee, Młody Las Polish Folk Dance Troupe, and Bal Polski volunteer guests’ helpers. All fundraising activities and prizes have been generously donated so that every penny goes to our nominated charities. The costs of staging the 46 Bal Polski are supplemented by our Sponsors.
In these turbulent times, the Polish Ball has an important role – a unifying community event that celebrates the achievements of the Polish British Community in the UK.

46 BAL POLSKI 2018 Celebrating:
ROK JUBILEUSZOWY 100-LECIA ODZYSKANIA NIEPODLEGŁOŚCI
THE CENTENARY YEAR OF POLAND REGAINING ITS INDEPENDENCE
On 11 November 1918, the dream of generations of Poles came true: the Polish State was once again reborn, throwing off the shackles of a nation partitioned and following 123 years of serfdom. After momentous uprisings, a free Poland was reinstated on world maps. We commemorate those who remained unyielding, not only on the battlefields, but also to the everyday efforts to preserve the spiritual and material substance of the nation and endurance of Polish families.

Projekt Polonia is an endeavour of the Polish community in the UK to make a difference: raising the awareness of information and expertise made available by UK charities, to support Polish speakers whose families and loved ones may be affected, and give them the tools and knowledge that until now has only been accessible to those with a good command of English.
ENTERTAINMENT AT 46 BAL POLSKI
MŁODY LAS POLISH FOLKLORE SONG AND DANCE GROUP
Młody Las are honoured and delighted to be entertaining our guests at 46 Bal Polski, and celebrating with them the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. Choreography work and rehearsals have already started – on the night we will be performing Polish traditional national dances as well as leading our Bal Polski guests from the champagne reception to the ballroom in a Polonaise.
In 2017, Młody Las celebrates its 45th anniversary, having been established in 1972 by Mr Zbigniew Bartus. Mr Bartus, working within the Polish community in Slough, was instrumental in forming a song and dance group, calling it Młody Las (Young Forest). Its members have generally been young people growing up in England, yet with their roots tied to the traditions and culture of Poland.
DANCE UNTIL 2AM TO THE SOUNDS OF
GRZEGORZ WILK AND WOLF BAND
We are delighted to announce that Grzegorz Wilk, with his band Wolf, will be performing at 46 Bal Polski. At 45 Bal Polski he broke the hotel’s ballroom record, 250 of our 300 guests were still dancing at 2am!
Grzegorz Wilk and his Band Wolf wil be playing a new programme of covers – many Bal Polski favourites, and some of the biggest international and Polish hits, with modern, exciting and dynamic arrangements. Something for all ages, Wolf Band plays classic waltzes and tangos, through to golden oldies and up-tempo modern tunes. At 45 Bal Polski everyone danced the night away and had enormous fun!
Magdalena Tul will be performing at 46 Bal Polski with Grzegorz Wilk and Wolf Band. Magdalena Tul is a Polish singer and composer. Currently on tour, Magdalena is a regular performer on TVP’s “Jaka to Melodia.”
We look forward to welcoming you at 46 Bal Polski!
