Dear Madam,
On behalf of my oncology patients and myself, I would like to thank you for your great help and support during the 48th Polish Ball. At the time, the Day Oncology Ward of the Starachowice District Health Care Centre was the beneficiary of this charitable event. Thanks to your efforts, it was possible to present the Paxman system, a device to prevent hair loss during chemotherapy.
The opportunity to raise funds for this purchase enabled our patients to receive difficult cancer treatment with dignity and without the fear of stigmatisation.
You have ensured that the fear of losing one’s hair and thus the feeling of loss of attractiveness and self-worth (which in smaller towns is extremely important), all if which can lead to depression, is not the reason for refusing treatment.
I am full of admiration for your big heart, commitment, your promotion of patriotic attitudes and Poland together with your charitable activity for your compatriots.
