Karolina Bielawska – Miss World 2022

Karolina Bielawska was born in Łódź, Poland in April 1999.
She has a First Class Honors Degree in Business Management, having scored the highest mark of any student in Poland for her year.
Karolina is currently studying for her Masters Degree.
Karolina has ambitions to be a presenter of TV and Entertainment shows, as well as a global influencer and force for good!
Karolina represented Poland at the Miss World Final in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 16 March 2022, when she became only the second Polish winner of Miss World after Aneta Kręglicka (who won the title 33 years earlier)!
Karolina wowed the judges with her extraordinary public speaking abilities and a ground breaking “Beauty With A Purpose” Project.

“For more than 2 years We have provided hot meals, food packages, masks and clothing for the homeless people living on the streets of my home city Łódź.
Every Sunday we try to meet not only their physical needs, but also share a smile and kind word,”
In addition, to her dedication to feeding, clothing and counselling the homeless people on the streets in her community,
Karolina has played an important part in the building of a communal bathroom and shower block for the people living on the streets in Łódź.
“Once we completed the building – the effect was incredible – the street people felt like human beings again as they were clean and fresh and from this small beginning, they gained the confidence to get further help to improve their lives.”
It’s now Karolina’s hope that she can encourage other cities around the world to follow the Łódź example.
Karolina says that her humanitarian work is inspired by Julia Morley Miss World Chairman and CEO

“I truly believe in the magical story that Julia tells every Miss World Contestant.
about a visit she made to Singapore.
In 1972, Julia looked out from her hotel window in Singapore and saw an old lady washing and feeding several street children. The old lady continued to do the washing and feeding at the same time every day!
Julia was curious and questioned as to why she did this every day, if the same problem would still be there tomorrow? The old lady simply replied: “Isn’t it better to light one candle in the dark than not to see at all?”
It was an epiphany. Julia came home and not only lit her candle in the dark but implored each and every Miss World contestant to do the same.
The result was Beauty With A Purpose which has been the central theme of Miss World for 50 years.
Beauty With A Purpose empowers young people to be of service to their communities. As a humanitarian program it currently runs successfully in 142 countries and has raised more than a billion dollars for good causes, giving aid and assistance to hundreds of thousands of people.
